Bead Reamers

In this edition, we will discuss a solution to this problem: The holes in my beads are too small!
When you buy beads on a strand, it is natural to assume that all of the holes are drilled correctly. But threads and monofilaments can easily slip through some of the smallest and roughest holes. However this is NOT true of beading wires or headpins.
Have you heard of bead reamers? Bead reamers are a must have tool for enlarging, de-burring, or rounding out bead holes.
There are many different types of bead reamers ranging from the most basic, to battery operated. Some are coated with diamond dust which is coarser and provides a more aggressive cutting action; while some are very fine, with a corkscrew-like file for enlarging holes in pearls.
Once you’ve tried a bead reamer, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it!
