Bead It FAQ

Frequently Asked Question:
How do I prevent my wire from breaking when I attach it to my jewelry endings?

The Answer is simple: Wire Guards

A wire guard is a horseshoe shaped finding that protects your wire from undue wear and tear by reducing abrasion from clasps or other sharp-edged components.
So how does one use a wire guard? String the wire up through the crimp, then up and over the top of the wire guard. Hook the wire guard over the clasp and then run the wire back down through the crimp. Tighten and pinch crimp. The wire guard now lies between the wire and the clasp providing a protective barrier.
