Pet Finger Blankee



This Pet blankee is child safe when you use a PET with sewn in eyes. Do not use button eyes if the child is under 3.

Materials:
*One "pet", Preferable washable
*one 18" to 24" square of fleece or minkee fabric
*Rotary cutter, Cutting mat, acrylic ruler, thread, Sharp shears
*Coordinating thread
*Blanket Binding, if desired

Instructions:

1. Select a fabric that coordinates with the "pet" you have chosen.

2. Square the piece of fabric using a rotary cutter, cutting mat and acrylic ruler.

3. Fold the square of fabric so that you can identify the exact center OR MEASURE!

4. Cut a circle smaller than the diameter of the "PET" - Generally 1 1/2" to 1 3/4 Circle

5. If the fabric is woven and ravels, Stitch the edges so they will no longer ravel. If not, Move to step 6.

6. Stitch all around the circle approx 1/8" from the cut edge.

7. Insert the pet into the circle making sure that the head is on the right side of the fabric.

8. Bring all the fabric over the pets head and pin the fabric in to place around the pets abdomen.

9. Thread a Needle with the Coordinating thread. Tie a knot. Hand stitch the blanket to the pet. If ou use a back stitch, it will be more secure or stitch around it twice.

10. Finish the outer edge of the blanket by hemming, binding with blanket binding or other decorative stitching if necessary. If you are using fleece, no finishing is required.

11. ENJOY the pet finger blankee yourself or give it as a gift.
