New Rewards Program

Here at Sierra's we are in the process of changing to our New Rewards Program!!

We sent out 1,800 rewards certificate to those who's total amount reached $100 or more in the past 6 months. They should be arriving in your mail boxes any day now.

If you are already a new rewards customer, we will be do the conversion when you shop with us next. When you come into the store we will be giving you a plastic rewards card to use in the future. Hold on to this card, as this how you will be able to redeem your rewards every other month. No more paper!!!

If you are not a rewards customer, we are sorry to say it will be the middle of November before you will be able to sign up for the program. Then we will be thrilled to have you as a rewards customer.

The rewards program gives you 5% back on your purchase! We convert the dollars every two months and if you have reached a total of $200 or more, the rewards are then transfered to your gift card.

Sock Monkeys have Arrived!!

The ever popular Red-Heeled Sock Monkey has arrived into our store! These monkeys have been around since 1932 and bring back some great memories of our growing up years. We also have a super cute Jack in the Box with the sock monkey jumping out of the box. What a fun gift for either family, friends or just pick up one for yourself.

Blokus

Blokus is an abstract strategy game with transparent, Tetris-shaped, colored pieces that players are trying to play onto the board. The only caveat to placing a piece is that it may not lie adjacent to your other pieces, but instead must be placed touching at least one corner of your pieces already on the board. This is a GREAT family game and is great idea for Christmas

Drive for the Cure is holding its Annual Pink Tea on Saturday, Oct 16 from 12 - 2 at the Juniper Hills Country Club. We will be sponsoring a table there. Here at Sierras we would like to support the Cure for Breast Cancer. Join us by making a fun bra for our Bras for the Cause Contest. Drop one off at the store and you could win a $50.00 gift certificate. In our Bead shop we have these great Pink Pendants. Put them on a necklace or bracelet to show your support

Geo Mesh Wreath

Emma is making this awesome halloween decoration using Geo mesh, grapvine wreath and chenille stems! THATS IT!! You can easily make this project for UNDER $20.00. We have different colors of geo mesh and many different projects to choose from! Games Galore!

Have you been in to see our wide selections of Games?? Jess and Kayleigh have!! They LOVE to play games! We have alot of games to choose from and they make a wonderful gift!

Pig Pile is an extremely light card (and punny) game. The cards have illustrations of pigs (naturally) and you can be "hog tied" or have a "hog wash". Players start with 3 face down cards (called "Slop"). And a hand of 6 cards. At the start you place 3 of your cards on top of the slop cards leaving you with a hand of three cards. Each turn you must play to the "Pig Pile" one or more cards of the same value that equal to or greater than the top card of the Pig Pile. If you fail to do so, you must take the entire Pig Pile into your hand.

Certain cards have special effects:
- Hog Wild: Wild card which can be played at any time and allows any card to played on it next turn.
- Hog Tied (4's): The next player loses his turn.
- Hog Wash (8's): The Pig Pile is discarded out of the game and you get another turn.
- Ewe Turn (11's): Reverse order of play.

Each turn you draw back to 3 cards until the deck runs out. If you have no cards in your hand , you must play a face up card or if those are gone, a slop card. The object is be first or second to get rid of all of your cards (including the slop.) Each player is awarded a number of pigs. Most pigs after 5 hands wins.

Pass the Pig: The object is to be the first to score 100 points using "pigs" as dice. On your turn, you throw the pigs and hope they end up in a scoring position such as a "snouter," "trotter," or "leaning jowler" (ranging in value from 1 to 60 points); if they do, you decide whether to "cash" the points (pass the pigs to the next player) or to roll again. If you roll a non-scorer ("pig out" - one pig on the right flank, the other on the left flank; a fairly frequent result), you lose any as-yet-uncashed points. If you throw an "oinker" (both pigs touching each other), you lose your entire accumulated score. If you throw a "piggyback" (one pig on top of the other), you're altogether eliminated!

Halloween Headbands

want to get into the Halloween spirit?? Then these EASY to make headbands are what you need..

Supplies:
1 plastic headband
2 yds of ribbon of your choice
1 glitter spider
Hot glue


Start by gluing the end of your ribbon to the base of your headband. You just continue to wrap your ribbon around the headband until you reach the other side. (i glue the ribbon down along the way) when you have it wrapped with ribbon, take your spider and Hot glue his body. Place spider on the headband where you feel he belongs.. Then let dry and your done and its ready to wear!! Stop by on the 1& 3 rd saturday to see Stephanie make different types of Hair bows. You can watch the demo or you can Make N Take!
