To make ties: take the 3 strips ( 3 1/2” x 22”) of coordinating FQ and stitch together at short edges making one long piece. Fold in half, right sides together. Starting at the joints stitch ¼” around long edge and end. Do both sides so the middle section is open and unstitched, Turn the ties, Press
Pin right side of tie to back side of apron so that stitching line is 1” down from top of placemat. Stitch open space onto apron backing ¼” seam. Fold band up and place on apron front waist, turn under ¼” on front part of apron. Pin & Stitch.
