Air hardening clay frame
Do you have a frame that is flawed or one you just don't like and you would like to change .
All you need is some air hardening clay, paint and a few embellishments.
Knead clay to soften it. When clay is soft and plyable, roll it out to about a quarter
inch thickness and the desired size of your frame. Pick up clay carefully so as not to tear it.
Lay it on top of your frame. Cut out the opening in your frame and around the outside with a
spatula or craft knife. Smooth edges by gently rubbing with your fingers until all edges are smooth and blend evenly on to frame edges. If you desire a textured look. Stamp around the clay with a rubber craft stamp of your choice. Then put your frame some place safe to air dry over night. when the clay is dry carefully remove it from the frame. Paint the frame and the clay the color or colors of your choice. Glue clay to frame with a craft glue, such as aleen's tacky glue.
Embellish with ribbon or any embellishment of your choice.
