Sparkly & New

If you like things on the sparkly side, then you will love our beautiful new crystal strands and glass bead strands.  We have sizes from 8 mm to 12 mm, with the crystal strands in clear colors and AB colors.  Note: AB means Aurora Borealis. AB crystals start out as clear crystals.  Then they are coated with a special rainbow-like film on one side which reflects light and picks up different colors from surrounding objects.  So, come in see the sparkle you can add to your next beading project. 

Licorice Leather

Licorice Leather.  No, it's not candy; it's our newest addition to the Bead Shop!  We have wheat you need to create contemporary leather bracelets.  Choose from a variety of colors of plain leather or leather with inlaid bling.  Then add metal components and metal magnetic closures to make elegant leather bracelets.  Easy and beautiful.

Their 'Forever More' collection has a nice old world feel to it with a little sparkle to add to your finished project without any extra effort. They would look wonderful with older pictures of your grandparents, sepia toned pictures of the kids, or a nice touch of elegance for an anniversary. Some in and see what you like.

Do you know someone who likes to use their fingers to create art? Why not give them an activity pack of fingerprint art. You can use your own fingerprints to create your own special and unique characters in games, mazes, murals, and much more. Create your own Printoons. Let your unique fingerprints create unique art.

Slat Flag Red White and Blue

Want something creative, patriotic, and simple to do with the kids? Why not create your own red, white, and blue flag using a wood slat board, paper, and glue. Cut your paper slightly smaller than the slat size, cut a square a little less that 1/4 the entire size and glue all of them to the boards. Paint a wooden star or you could also cover it with paper. Embellish with whatever you would like from ribbons and glitter, to buttons and vinyl. As long as you stick with the red, white, and blue theme you could leave it up as long as you want to and be patriotic year round. Enjoy crafting.

Mixed Media Paper

Have you wanted to try your hand at mixed media and not known where to start. One of the simplest ways to start is with a mixed media paper collection where you can use wet or dry media on the paper and it will not curl up on you as easily as many other products. If you just want to try your hand at it we have some that come with 15 sheets of paper or if you know that is something you are highly interested, we have a pad of 40 sheets of paper. If mixed media is not your thing the heavy weight paper can also be used for watercolors, acrylic, or other painting. Anything is possible is you let your fingers do the designing.

Summer Visor Fun

Create your own visor. Not only can it be stylish but it can help shade your eyes from the sun that we can finally enjoy. Use anything that you heart desires to decorate it with. Need some ideas come in and look at the employee visors being worn around the store. If any interest you feel free to ask them how they were made. Come in Saturday June 16, 2012 from 1-2 and create a visor of your won for only $2.
Don't forget you can also create a mug for father's day on  the same Saturday at the same times for the same cost. Make something for yourself, you kids or grandkids, and top it off with something for father's day. Have fun

Lantern Terrrium

Have you noticed that we have new lanterns in the store. Along with the other lanterns you can use them with real candles, or the also new led flamless candle some of these even have timers to automatically shut off. Check out the one that I used as a faux terrarium. I used silk plants and moss stones to creat this one of kind center piece.

Father's day boxes and art

It is not to early to think about creating something special for father's day. Create something handmade that dad can enjoy at any time of year. Create and persomalize boxes that dad could keep any of his things in and know where they are when he needs them. Create a canvas using paint, vinyl, embelishments, or anyhting else that dad is interested in. Why not use vinyl to show dad how much you care for him and personalize it with themed paper or an enlarged picture of family or artwork drawn just for him. Want a reason to turn off the electronics and spend time on something that you can physically enjoy. Build a model of your choice. Choose from cars, trucks, even airplains from many different decades. Does dad need something on his desk to keep his pencils and pens in, or would he enjoy his own personalized mug to drink from? Why noy creat a mug just for dad using paper that shows his interests. If dad likes to BBQ attach some stickers to a patterned paper and insert into the mug. If dad is a sports fan or a mechanic we have paper and stickers for both. If dad is traditional why not create one with pocket watches or gears and parts.  You can color your own picture and insert it into the mug with a picture of you to remind dad that he is special to you.
